HARP Developing Public Works Supervisor Course
Public Works Supervisor (PWS) Training – Coming Soon
HARP Solutions Inc. is proud to be developing the Public Works Supervisor I, II, and III training program in partnership with the Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba Chapters of the Canadian Public Works Association (APWA). This initiative will provide consistent, high-quality leadership and supervisory training for current and emerging public works leaders.
Built as an educational frameworks, the new curriculum will be tailored specifically to the operational, regulatory, and organizational realities faced by municipal public works departments in Western Canada.
The program will feature three progressive levels - PWS I, PWS II, and PWS III each consist of 30 hours of in-person instruction designed to support professionals training from operations into supervisory and management roles. Participants will gain practical knowledge in leadership, municipal operations, asset management, safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance, all delivered through engaging, adult-focused learning methods.
Drawing on decades of real-world public works experience and training expertise, HARP’s approach focuses on practical application, interactive learning, and content that directly supports day-to-day municipal operations.
This new program will strengthen supervisory capacity, support workforce development, and help municipalities across the Prairies build the next generation of public works leaders.
Expected launch: Fall 2026
"The breadth and depth of support provided by Andrew to the Town has well exceeded expectations. The raised operational bar set through our affiliation with HARP greatly helps our community strengthen the level of service all ratepayers and residents should rightfully expect to receive.”
